Moxie Consulting Group, LLC is proud to announce that we are certified as a small, woman-owned (SWaM) business by the Virginia Department of Small Business & Supplier Diversity! We have also earned the distinction of being certified as a micro-business and are listed in the SWaM Vendor Directory.

What is a SWaM certification?

SWaM is administered by the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (SBSD). The purpose of the SWaM certification program, is to enhance business opportunities for small, women- and minority-owned (SWaM) businesses in state funded projects. 

 To be considered a small business, your business must be independently owned and operated and have 250 or fewer employees or average annual gross revenue of $10 million or less averaged over the previous three years. 

To be considered women-owned, at least 51% of the total ownership interest of your company must be owned by women and a woman (or women).

To be considered a minority-owned business, at least 51% of the ownership and control of your company must be by racial/ethnic minority individuals.

A SWaM certified business may be certified as a micro business if it has 25 or fewer employees and average annual gross receipts of $3 million or less averaged over the previous 3 years.
